The Bay
There’s a quiet moment just as the sun begins to sink, when the world softens, and everything feels suspended between what was and what’s still to come.
The Bay lives in that moment.
The sky burns with colour. The deep violets melting into fiery orange and gold, like the day is exhaling its final breath. The light spills across the water, not perfectly, but in broken reflections that shimmer and shift, just like our thoughts, just like our feelings.
The dark rocks stand steady, grounded and unmoving, holding space as the tide flows around them. They feel like quiet guardians, reminding us that even in times of change, there is something within us that remains strong, anchored, and sure.
There’s a sense of solitude here, but not loneliness. It’s the kind of solitude that brings peace… the kind where you can hear yourself again.
This piece is about contrast. Light and dark, movement and stillness, intensity and calm. It gently invites you to pause, to breathe, and to trust that even as the day fades, something beautiful is always unfolding.
The Bay is a place to return to yourself.
